Back from Zion

Going back home to Israel (is it still home? hmm…of course it is…but only if its OK to have two ‘homes’) is never a real holiday but rather a social/familial boot camp. I always manically trying to juggle between friends and relatives and the beach. When I’m there i always have this constant guilt for not spending enough time with everybody and even if we meet three different people in one day there are always people we won’t be able to meet.
But there are some comforts. And with all my problems with the reality and life in Israel there is always the beach, the people and the food which, I think, are the best in the world.
So here is ‘Palmachim Beach, my ultimate place of nostalgia:
And to this visit highlight, I went with my parents to a one-day trip to the north and on the way back we stopped at Diana restaurant in Nazareth, arguably the best Arabic restaurant ever! As you sit down they immediately fill your table with assortment of heavenly maze:
While you stuff yourself with these small plates of beauty, the almighty Mr. Duhul prepares your kebab:
