Is it just me or recently there’s not a single day without an item on the first hotel / flag shop / live gig/ conference / agency / news desk on Second Life?

So I started to draft a partial (tasteless) list of the things to come if anyone wants to be the first _____on Second Life ….your contributions are welcome!
- The first Bar-Mitzva on Second Life
- The first live sex change operation on Second Life
- The first attempt to break the Guiness world record in donuts eating in Second Life
- The first Scientology branch on Second Life (or is it there already?)
- The first shrink on Second Life (specialises in personality disorders associated with blurring distinctions between first and second life)
- The first necrophiles brothel on Second Life
- The first virutal reality multiplayers’ game on Second Life, called "Beyond Life"
- The first Italian mafia branch on Second Life (collecting protection Linden $$$ on an Island near you…)
- The first Jihadist training camp on Second Life (rare appearence of Osama’s avatar)
- The first accidental avatar’s incest case revealed on Second Life!
- The first reality TV show on Second Life.
UPDATE: I just read over at What’s Next? that SL pioneers are pissed off about all the invasion of big brands to SL. And apparently there is a wikipedia page dedicated to all the ‘firsts’ on SL.

Mat and I went wandering around BBH’s office in second life on Friday afternoon - after reading in Campaign that it had been closed after SecondLifers had flash mobbed it wearing strap on didos and dry humping all over the couches in the foyer - I’m not kidding - Campaign Diary section page 23!. Anyway we thought we’d go along and watch the fun but it was empty. Just one guy with wings in a dinner suit holding an automatic rifle in a really beautfully designed and rendered (empty) building. Portentious I’m sure..but of what? Look - it’s really nice that ad agencies have discovered chat rooms and avatars. But you know all they’ll do is create living rooms with virtual TVs in them and try and shove ads at people. Thank God it’s taken them ten years. What will they stumble acrosss next; Email? Then they’ll probably use it to send print ads to people…oh..yeah. Sorry.

yup, all this over-hype around SL does feel a bit forcedto me. The only thing I can say in favour of Crayon (Jaffe’s new agency on SL is that at leat he and his mates actually spent some time on SL and were part of the community, unlike some of the marketing penetrations you see these days which looks like someone is crushing on a party with a funny hat…
