Happy Digital Toys
by asi
What sometimes frustrates yet always intrigues me about working in digital is the democratisation of creativty and fun, and the fact that more often than not you come across fantastic interactive application/idea that could have been amazing as a piece of brand comunication but it isn’t. It’s just there, commercial-free experience for you to play with and have fun.
Think of Global Rich List, The human clock, Jackson Pollok, newspaper snippet generator, Justcurio.us [to name just a few that comes to mind - would be nice to get more examples] and now this amazing creative toy from a Japanese dude called Masayuki Kido. You can create your own colorful figure-scribble and when done, it multiples itself and dances in a rave-like setting to the sound of funky minimal tribal tune. One of the best flash works I’ve seen recently and the simplicity of the creative experience is astounding.
Beware, it’s so fun, it’s Infectious as SARS!

An environmentalist gone bad, or progressing?
Hi there, I have been working on climate change and been involved in climate activism for some time.
I have become increasingly interested in the marketing of Ideas and behaviour changes.
I read the report from the WWF that you sent me a copy of and was wondering if you had any futher reccomendations?
Regards,
Calvin
