Posted 31 Mar 2007 at 1:42 pm ¶Titles are odd things, we say that we don’t care but I remember a long time ago working at the Gap on my year off and serving two women both of whom had credit cards with the title “Lady…” on it. The titles made me look at them in a different way - curious? impressed? Not sure why I cared, but I did.

Amelia - thanks for your visit. Apparently titles have a powerful symbolic influence…..indeed we say we don’t care but they have the power to make us look at people in a completely different manner…that’s totally natural but it’s important to at least be reflective about it…
