Blog Day 2007

public/collective dates usually make me uncomfortable but I’m happy to rejoin the blog day tradition. As far as i am able to tell BlogDay was initiated in 2005 by Nir Ofir, Israeli blogger and producer of BlogTV, with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know bloggers from other countries, cultures and areas of interest. So to make a point to all those who recently declared the death of blogging, here are my five recommendations:

1. Dead Insect: Ant’s brilliant blog – really inspiring miscellaneousish stuff .

2. Culturemaking: Marcus’s musing on culture, brands and meaning- making, which I really wish were more frequent

3. Rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub – lovely Emma, who sadly left POKE recently to seek a career in cooking children and teaching granny
jams. Watch this one for the best in food.

4. Who killed Bambi – recently discovered and bloody creative.

5. Made in England by Gentlemen: The cook, the art and the tach, you just can’t get enough of his stuff.
