Really nice bike garage
by asi
Anyone with a scooter (or bigger, or a car actually) knows the somehow inevitable experience of getting your vehicle to the garage with a minor problem and getting the phone call (and later the bill) that ACTUALLY, it’s not that minor and you need to replace the engine or something…. And more often than not there is this trust issue based on the fact (at least in my case) that with the repair person expertise against your total cluelessness, he can practically can tell me that there is a green lizard in my break clutch levers or a dead pigeon in the radiator fans…
Thats why I was positively surprised when yesterday I took my scooter with a minor problem to City Bike Services and not only did they took me in (I forgot to mention that usually you need to set an appointment) told me to come back later and when I did, they refuse to take any money – “it was just 5min work” they said.
They were extremely nice and friendly.
So if you’re around east London and need a good garage give them a call or just pop over.

I very nearly blogged about the reverse situation. I’m selling a friends house acting as neutral go between for the separating owners, and the estate agent that looked most buttoned down when reviewing a bunch of them suddenly couldn’t care less as soon as I signed the paper. I knew I’d made a mistake but thought I’d give the benefit of doubt.
Later when I severed the relationship I received an email that informed me I would be held responsible for the comission and fees. I replied that I’d happily see him in court and suggested he bring a leg to stand on because I’d logged each failure of service.
I sometimes wonder if I should have blogged about it. One google search and that post would have gone to the top to any search for the estate agent’s name.
Anyway. Better to see the good side being used here Asi!
Why didn’t you?
your blog is perfectly legitimate tool for rants as well as praises.
