Remix culture on steroids

This is the most exciting thing I’ve seen online in a while. thru-you is an incredible project from Ofir Yekutiel AKA Kutiman, a groovy dude from Tel-Aviv that already established himself as a nu-funk talent. Kutiman searched through hundreds of youtube videos and remixed them to create awesome new music. I’m sure some people did similar things but something on that genius level I haven’t seen. He masterfully remixed together loads of random videos, creating an original audio-visual collage spanning genres, continents, decades, instruments and….people – professionals, amateurs, old, young, black, white. It’s just amazing to see how he brought together these people to create a beautiful mashup.
